Box Optronics launched a 1550nm, 100mW, 100kHz narrow-linewidth DFB laser diode in a 14-pin butterfly package with integrated TEC temperature control and monitoring PD. This product utilizes a distributed feedback structure, boasting a full width at FWHM of less than 100kHz and a SMSR greater than 40dB. The 1550nm wavelength falls within the "low-loss window" of the communications industry. Its narrow linewidth below 100kHz and SMSR greater than 40dB effectively reduce phase noise and mode interference in coherent transmission, making it a core light source for high-speed, long-haul fiber-optic communications.
