The 980nm pump laser utilizes a planar construction with chip on subcarrier. The high power chip is hermetically sealed in a epoxy-free and flux-free 14-pin butterfly package and fitted with a thermistor, thermoelectric cooler, and monitor diode. The 980nm pump laser uses FBG stabilization to "lock” the emission wavelength. It provides a noise-free narrow band spectrum, even under changes in temperature, drive current, and optical feedback. It is a light source for a fiber amplifier used in optical communication networks. The main types of optical fiber amplifiers are EDFA and FRA.

976nm 700mW pump laser diode’s grating is located in the Hi1060 fiber pigtail to stabilize the wavelength. This 14PIN BTF laser diode is available with kink free output power up to 700mW. The maximum LD forward current is <1200mA. Its pigtail can with a 900um loose tube or only bare fiber are available.
